Gardening apprenticeship in the Botanic Garden

Every year, the Botanical Garden of the Ruhr University Bochum takes on up to three new apprentices to train as gardeners in the field of ornamental plant cultivation. In the course of their training, the apprentices get to know all areas of the garden. Training takes place both outdoors and in the glasshouses. The typical aspects of the training include cultivation, propagation, design of plants and plant protection. Applications for the following year will be accepted from October.
